It's countdown time for 13 local primary schools


This Friday 30 October, students from 13 local primary schools who have been participating in the inaugural Silver Star Motors Pedal Car Design Challenge; a new, innovative and exciting, team based challenge, designed to encourage creativity and design innovation, will present their final Mercedes-Benz pedal car creations and supporting mood boards to a panel of judges at Silver Star Motors Doncaster, for the chance to win one of the three available prizes; the ‘Creativity and Design Innovation Award’.
This exciting new local initiative was open to students from 5-12 years of age. Each of the 13 schools is competing to win one or two, of three school grants from Silver Star Motors and supporting partners Mercedes-Benz Financial and Westfield Doncaster, worth $3,000 each.
As part of the Challenge, students were encouraged to experiment with all creative mediums to transform their cars into a work of art and their dream Mercedes-Benz.
The winner will be announced at 10.45am on Wednesday 4 November at the official launch of the 10-day exhibition at Silver Star Motors Doncaster.
The official exhibition and people’s choice voting of all 13 local primary school entries in the Silver Star Motors Pedal Car Design Challenge will take place over 10-days at Silver Star Motors Doncaster, from Thursday 5 November through to Sunday 15 November, 2015. The public are invited to vote for their favourite Mercedes-Benz pedal car design and two schools will be crowned winners of the ‘‘People’s Choice Award’ and each win a $3,000 school grant. Voting will take place at the exhibition and online, with winners announced online on Monday 16 November.
